ASBA

The Avon Schools Badminton Association (ASBA) is the Junior Section of the Avon Badminton Association and is associated to the Schools and Youth Board of Badminton England. The Association runs a number of activities for junior players based on coaching, tournaments and inter-County matches.

Venues

Coaching is arranged, and most matches are played, at:

 

St Ursulas School, Brecon Road, Westbury-on-Trym, Bristol BS9 4DT (maps below)

Wednesday Evening U17 coaching and practice is held at Red Maids School see link.

Visitors and  spectators to matches/tournaments must make themselves known to the Team Managers and must not speak to the players.

 

Parents/guardians only may come to training sessions.

 

Visitors at training sessions by arrangement only with whoever is leading the coaching session.

 

Alternative training or county match Venue.

Occasionally we have to transfer to another venue for our training sessions or county matches at short notice. Usually this will be at Red Maids school, Westbury on trym, Bristol. Check out this link for more info and directions.

Times

Coaching is on Saturday mornings.

Matches are on Sunday afternoons.
Tournaments are usually on Sundays (all day) at local schools or sports centres.
