Avon U13's vs Hampshire 17th Jan

A last minute change of venue to Gordano Sports Centre on a warm sunny day, in contrast to the recent snow set the scene for the U13's latest match.

Aidan won his singles with quite a close fought battle in 2 games and in an exciting match James narrowly lost in 3 games. Luke Morgan, recovering from injuries to his foot played really well and only lost by narrow margins. Kirby had us on the edge of our seats also, by winning her singles in 3 and Megan won hers comfortably in 2 games.  Once again, Kirby and Megan played an exciting game of mixed and won narrowly in a game that went to 3. Elliot and Kirby played well together and won in 2 games. The Hampshire boys were too strong for ours and won all their games.  Kirby and Megan were the only girls to win their doubles although Elise and Emily caused quite a stir when they nearly won their game which went to 3. They are improving with every match.

The final score was 14-6 (2-2 mixed doubles, 1-3 to Hampshire in boys singles,2-2 in girls doubles, 0-4 to Hampshire in boys doubles, and 1-3 in the mixed)

Another enjoyable match in which the score did not reflect how close the games were. Well done team and thanks to the parents again for food, taxi service, tea making, collecting subs and clearing up!
