U13s qualify in style

Team: Brendan, Sally, Pete, Anna, Henley, Saskia, Jack, Megan

The U13s cruised to a comfortable victory against Shropshire to book their place in the Shires Final. The mixed all went Avon’s way, giving us an early  4-0 lead. The boys were all much too strong for their very inexperienced but spirited opposition and had no problems taking all 8 of their singles and level doubles matches. In the girls, Sally just lost a very close match against Kirsty Muddle, but Anna, Saskia and Megan won their matches. Avon’s girls picked up wins in 3 of the 4 doubles to give us 18-2 victory.

A great result and a very enjoyable day of badminton. Leicester her we come (Sunday 20^th April for those who don’t know!)
